Giuliano looks at her as if she were crazy, trying to
suppress a sarcastic smile. Monica notices his look and
turns around and looks at the control monitors. She sees
the various common areas of the building, all deserted.
MONICA
There are no cameras on the last floor?
DOORMAN
No, they were never installed. There are just some old
attics, many of them have been empty and abandoned for
years. There was no need to waste money there.
Monica continues to stare at the monitors, as if she
expected to see something pop up at any moment.
DOORMAN
Anyway, I think it’s better if we go and take a look.
MONICA
Now? No, I…
Giuliano and the doorman stare at her without blinking.
MONICA
I mean ... I don't ... do I have to come too? What if
that man is still there?
GIULIANO
This way you can see for yourself there’s no one there.
Giuliano walks to the door and opens it. The doorman
stands up and looks at Monica, who with obvious
discomfort walks to the exit, under the scrutinizing gaze
of the two men.
