Television 2022 Writing Grant - Beaumarchais-SACD
The application for the Beaumarchais-SACD television writing grant has just opened. This grant is endowed with 5 955 € (5 000 € for the author + 955 € Ursaff artists authors). It is reserved for emerging authors for a project of series or unit in French language. Applications close on October 3, 2022. The results will be known a priori on December 16, 2022.
The application for a unit includes: your CV, pitch, 20-page project with synopsis, beginning of writing (10 pages of dialogue sequences), note of intent.
And for a series, send your CV, pitch, project in 30 pages maximum with description of the concept (universe, mechanics, characters), global synopsis of the series, some episode summaries, excerpt of one or several episodes (15 pages), note of intent.

CannesFilms Unlimited 2023: residency for feature film screenwriters at the Cannes Film Festival
You can now apply for the third edition of this writers' residency organized by TheBlackList, Canal+, Vivendi, the Cannes Film Festival, the Université Côte d'Azure and the City of Cannes.
Participants will develop a new original European film in English. The program will begin virtually and continue with a three-week immersive residential program in Cannes, while attending the Cannes 2023 Film Festival.
APPLICATION AND PROGRAM
Applications are open on the Black List website from July 29, 2022 to October 2, 2022. Up to 18 screenwriters will be invited based on the potential of their script as assessed by TheBlackList.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED
- Presentation of the project (5 sentences)
- Synopsis of the project (one page)
- One-page letter of intent (describing your artistic vision for the project and why you chose this topic)
- Personal statement (why you would be the ideal candidate for the residency)
- Professional resume (film, television production...)
- Mood board for your project (optional)
At the end of October 2022, 18 writers and projects will be selected for the first round of the residency: a month-long online program during which writers will meet with mentors and write a three-page treatment for their film, due in mid-November 2023.
In January 2023, each writer will present their film to a panel of industry professionals, including Canal+ and TheBlackList. From these 18 submissions, six writers will be selected to continue the online André Pitié - 31/07/2022
